A Top Choice Under the Tuscan Sun and Under the Tuscan Stars

Here at Casa Chilenne B&B, Cortona, Tuscany we are proud to be members of the Top Choice group of B&B and Hotel Owners.  Many know of our little hilltop town from books or films, the most recent being "Under the Tuscan Sun" by Frances Mayes which celebrates the beauty of our countryside combined with the charm of our small town. Now that the bustling days of summer have gone, it is an ideal time to enjoy other aspects of the city. The quaint, small town holiday celebrations, festive holiday lights, concerts in our churches and artisan created nativity scenes in our churches. It's a time of Tombola (bingo) night fund-raisers for the historic neighborhood societies,  roasted chestnut and bruschetta fundraisers for the Cancer Society; hometown events that are a tradition. Walking to midnight mass at Christmas, gospel concerts and a New Year's Eve celebration in our town square are seasonal events which bring good cheer. Our fine restaurants offer delectible delights for the holidays and shopping is an easy stroll down cobblestoned streets.

It''s a time when we can pamper our guests even more.

We are most excited to be a part of TopChoice Guaranteed B&B and Hotels group, the thought of success through self-promotion and referral is heady. We are striving to refer our guests to our associates, all of us dedicated to providing personal, professional service and comfortable accomodation. We are paying it forward so that we may in turn have the honor to welcome some of our colleagues' guests in the future. It's  a new idea to reduce some of our member's dependance on online booking portals which provide a showcase and visibility for them but on the same token require very high (18%!) commissions. We want to introduce our accomodations to you in a different way and we've selected nearly 40 different structures from north to south and on the islands to become members of our group.  There are different types of accomodation from modest to luxury, but what unites us is a dedication to quality service for our clients.

So if you are planning to pass through the hilltowns area of southern Tuscany, we hope you'll spend a few nights with us to explore our town, discover the treasures of our museums and churches. We hope you'll come to savor life in a small Italian hilltown, perhaps on Saturday morning at market, or the market down in Camucia on Thursday mornings or at the collectibles fair that fill-up the square on the 4th Sunday of the month.

We'll serve you our fresh breakfast on site in our private breakfast room . If you want to stay in and relax, our guest lounge is available with books, games and a kitchenette with coffee and tea available. For guests who book with us this winter, referring to TopChoice, we'll treat them to 2 free tickets to one of our museums.
